Recent Purchases!-beauty

i was in need of some new beauty purchases so heres what i got :)

i was in need of a night cream to i browsed the shelves and decided on this one! i got this at the drug store-i purchase MOST creams from there because i go through them so quickly

ill let you guys know how i like it!

Next i heard that its good to use an eye cream (which i have never used) and i heard its good to use an anti ageing one especially at a young age, so i decided on this one! which i thought would be okay because its not only geared towards wrinkles, but fine lines as well! which i actually have already.

And of course i had to pick up some nail polishes!
(golden-l, Blue me away!)
i was instantly drawn to the golden one because it reminded me of "Raise A Glass"the salon effects by Sally Hansen, which i LOVED the color, but i hated the salon effects! so im hoping this color looks just as great!

i was in need of a new one of these, i always try new ones, and this one said it was scented cucumber and citrus, and i thought that would smell really refreshing!
however i realized there also exfoliating pads, which is a bonus, however there not quite hard enough to do any real exfoliating!
they also really didnt smell like cucumer and cirtus... they smelt really bad to me. That being said, i wont be purchasing these again!

Lastly, and my favourite of all!
i stopped in mac just to look, i wasn't looking for anything in particular and had no intentions of buying anything.. however, i was interested in their lip tendertones!
but of course, they had none left except the worst colour of them all! so i checked out their tinted lip conditioners! I LOVE these!! i decided to come out of my comfort zone and try a colour id never get (Fuchsia Fix). the colour is amazing, and the conditioner is amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! im going to go back and purchase every colour!

it gives a really nice natural subtle colour, perfect for spring and summer!
they also last a really long time! after eating i could still feel it on my lips!

heres the other colours!

petting pink
soothing beige

heres the nail polish i showed in my last haul- Frutti Petutie by Sally Hansen
LOVE IT

Sally Hansen salon effects review

so for starters, the idea of this product is really neat, and i was extremely excited to try them out, i picked up two (raise a glass, red-y for trouble) and only paid around under 3 bucks for each.

the instructions seemed fairly easy, and when i began applying i got the hang of it right away. overall application took around 20 minutes. I had browsed some other reviews and one lady said hers took 90 minutes!! i think the reasoning for this would be the instructions tell you to remove excess polish with a nail file, which takes FOREVER! and would indeed add up to 90 minutes, so i discovered a quick and easier way. (you pull the excess polish downward, and it rips off perfectly!-if that makes sense)

when i had completed the application i was in awe! i loved it and it instantly became my new favourite thing!

                                                                      Raise A Glass
                                                                           (not my hand)

HOWEVER....

i then soon realized, this was definitely NOT going to last me 10 days, and as a matter of fact, i thought it may only last me around 1 day, many other reviews also noted that and said within 2 days they removed the nails... well it took me 1 HOUR!!

i have very small nails and i found the polishes were very large and there was very few smaller ones, so many of my nails looked weird because there was excess polish that was impossible to remove. i also found the polish seemed like they came off easily and chipped, so i decided to add a topcoat.. i noticed they soon began to bubble looked extremely unappealing, the polishes also had dents in it as well!

within an hour of having them on my nails, they edges began to lift, so i had to remove them completely.

I was extremely dissapointed because it looked amazing! the removal of the polish was overall harder then the application!

have you tried these? what was your experience?
